Minerallac’s Salvatore Joseph Palumbo Passes Away

Salvatore Joseph Palumbo Jr. was born on March 10, 1965. Salvatore (Torrie) was born in San Bernadino, California and preceded in death by his parents Salvatore Joseph Palumbo Sr. and Alberta Louise Palumbo. His family moved from Glendora, California to Shelton, Washington in 1977. Torrie graduated from Shelton High School in 1983. He attended Pacific University Forest Grove College on a baseball scholarship and continued to Western Washington University where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business 1989.

Torrie’s career started at Graybar Electrical in 1989 where his love for sales and merchandising began. He continued to evolve his career in the electrical industry and was hired in 2005 as a territory manager for Minerallac Co. Torrie’s fierce passion for his career led him to the role of vice president of business development and marketing in 2010. Torrie was an exceptional leader and a true visionary. Everything Torrie envisioned in his career came to life and that was reflected through strong relationships with customers and his team.

Torrie was best known for being a family man and a great friend to many. He comes from a family of seven siblings. He was able to walk in a room and walk out with a friend. He was a man who was passionate for the Lord. He was a high school and college all-star athlete and loved to play golf. The most fulfilling moment of his life was when he met his wife, Kelli. They had an unbreakable bond and a love that stood the test of time.

He is survived by his wife Kelli J. Palumbo, and children Torisa Brewer (Travis) Talia Harris (Sean), Ryan Palumbo (Holly), Nick Palumbo (Paola), Nic Stewart, Mitchell Stewart (Gabriella), MacKinzi Darling (John), Mady Fenton (Robert) and Michael Aggergaard and siblings Janice L. Long (Tim), David G. Ford (Cheryl), Cathy A. Reese (Ron), Steven H. Ford (Angie), Susan M. Elliott (John), and Laura D. Willis (Jeff). He has many grandchildren.
