Mayer Forms New Digital Buildings, Factories Business Unit
Mayer recently formed a digital buildings and factories business unit under its digital strategy and innovation umbrella.
An industry first, the new business unit is led by a customer-focused team dedicated to serving the rapidly expanding systems and technology solutions needs of Mayer customers. Technology solutions are part of the core DNA of Mayer and this new unit will ensure the company remains a leader, innovator and disruptor in the digital and IoT space.
Mayer’s Digital Buildings and Factories Group brings together several existing Mayer teams including lighting, lighting design, lighting controls, sensors, datacom, building and factory automation, control and building management solutions, national accounts and oil and gas. Bill Stone has been named vice president of digital building and factories and will lead the new business unit and leverage its collective expertise to create and deploy products, systems and solutions together with customer interfacing cross-platform digital and mobile software and analytics applications.
The Digital Strategy and Innovation Group is led by Mayer’s Executive Vice President and Chief Digital Officer Barry Carden and includes digital buildings and factories, digital marketing, digital business solutions, customer-focused software application development, ecommerce, along with data analytics and insights expertise.

Metro Electric Supply Awarded Two Honors
Metro Electric Supply in St. Louis received the Trade Ally of the Year Award for the second year and the Most Outstanding Regional Electrical Distributor of the Year Award at the 2019 Ameren Missouri BizSavers Program Trade Ally Network Awards. This is the third year in a row that Metro Electric Supply has been recognized by Ameren Missouri.

USESI Acquires Main Electric
U.S. Electrical Services Inc. (USESI) recently acquired Main Electric Supply in Monroe Township, New Jersey. Both companies are members of IMARK Group.
Main Electric, which has serviced the Middlesex County contractor community for more than 30 years, will become part of USESI’s Monarch Region under the leadership of Charlie Colella.
The acquisition of Main Electric is USESI’s second acquisition in the past 12 months. Last spring, USESI acquired Lindley Electric in Southampton, Pennsylvania, strengthening its presence in the Philadelphia market. Lindley has served the Philadelphia area nearly 100 years, focusing on the industrial OEM and MRO segments. Lindley is now part of USESI’s Yale Electric Supply, under the leadership of President Steve Bryson.

Pecak joined the company in November 2017 in the role of director of strategic pricing. Crescent Electric Appoints VP of Supply Chain, Chief HR Officer
Crescent Electric Supply Co. has appointed Jeff Buxton to the position of vice president of supply chain. In this new role, Buxton will have responsibility for company-wide purchasing, inventory management, logistics and operations.

Parrish-Hare Makes Key Personnel Changes
Parrish-Hare Electrical Supply Co., now based out of Irving, Texas, has hired Bruce Wolf in the role of chief financial officer (CFO).
Wolf has more than 25 years of experience in CFO and chief operating officer roles with international manufacturing and wholesale distribution companies. In these roles, Wolf utilized technology to better interface with suppliers and meet the increasingly complex needs of customers.
Parrish-Hare promoted Bowen Welsh to area sales manager. He has been employed by Parrish-Hare for 24 years, holding a number of different positions within the company from outside sales to branch manager.
Meanwhile, Power-House Electrical Supply, a division of Parrish-Hare, has hired Dennis James Williams in the position of automation systems engineer. Williams brings with him a wealth of knowledge of the Schneider IAD program, from concept to commissioning and the deployment of automation solutions. He has held a number of different positions in his industry career, from sales to consultation.

United Electric Supply Announces Personnel Changes
United Electric Supply has named Anthony Buonocore its director of marketing and supplier advancement. His responsibilities include corporate marketing, digital content strategies and non-assigned account growth initiatives. He will now assume oversight for all strategic supplier initiatives and plan implementation.
Richard Freebery retired as vice president, vendor and new business development after 35 years with the company. He brought to United a special blend of product knowledge, market insight and customer understanding, as well as an enthusiasm for new product and service offerings. He was one of the corporate managers at United responsible for developing IMARK strategies and plan implementation. He spearheaded United Electric’s primary charitable focus of The American Cancer Society for the past 20 years, helping the company raise almost $500,000 for this worthy cause.

Key Personnel Changes at Warshauer
The Lighting Design Center, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Warshauer Electric Supply, a New Jersey-based electrical wholesaler, recently added Jessica Stull to its showroom staff. She will immediately begin working on her American Lighting Association Lighting Associate certification while lending her expertise in CAD, Sketchup, Revit and other programs to help professionalize all proposals and designs moving forward.
Warshauer Electric Supply also expanded and redeveloped its management team. For many years, the company has been run by a small network of individuals, but with growing business and growing demands, it developed a need for a new level of management to help better guide, coach and mentor employees. This new management team includes Ryan Schumann, Anthony Kurilla, Mike Zara and Mike Warshauer.
Schumann, who will serve as the sales manager, has a degree in business administration from Susquehanna University and previously served as national account manager at Greenlee. Kurilla has been promoted to operations manager and has been a part of the Warshauer team for 12 years. Zara has been promoted to business development manager and has been a part of the Warshauer team for nine years. He will work closely with Schumann, Kurilla and current general manager Mike Warshauer to guide and grow the organization for many years to come.
The new management team will be based out of Warshauer’s Corporate Headquarters, located at 800 Shrewsbury Avenue in Tinton Falls and will report to Jim Dunn, executive vice president.

Spencer Miles, vice president of Pacific Lamp & Supply in Seattle, Washington, (an IMARK member) has been named president of the National Association of Innovative Lighting Distributors (NAILD).
Miles, who has been an active member of NAILD for years, is excited to take on a leadership role in the organization. “I want to continue to build membership and have NAILD remain a pioneer in lighting education,” he said. “Under Cory Schneider, our immediate past president, our membership and education programming expanded, and I want to continue that growth.”
