Ten Best Entrants Will Earn Fame, Fortune
IMARK Group recognizes the electrical industry as a great place to work. The people in our industry play an essential role in keeping the overall economy up, running and growing.
Of course, no one really considers the manufacturing and distribution of electrical equipment and supplies to be very glamourous. As a result, many bright and talented young people who would enjoy working in our industry often don’t consider it, as it’s not on their radar screen.
However, we believe our industry has a great story to tell and we’d like you to help us tell it. All IMARK Now readers are invited to share an “elevator speech” describing why the electrical industry is great and why more people should consider working in it.
THE CHALLENGE: Pretend you are talking to a bright young friend or a niece or nephew who is looking for a career opportunity. How would you quickly and effectively describe the electrical industry (in two or three paragraphs maximum) and encourage young men and women to consider a career opportunity in it?
The contest judges will rate each “elevator speech” on creativity and conciseness. Submissions should be about the industry in general and not company-specific.

- Submissions can be created by a company or an individual (distributor, supplier, rep).
- The top 10 entries will be published in the fall issue of IMARK Now.
- Winning entrants will earn a $100 gift card (winners can have the award donated to a charity of their choice if preferred).
