XOLogic Joins the IMARK Family

Efficiency has never been more valuable in business than it is today.

In yesterday’s world, people had to find information. Today, people receive information 24/7 on their computers, tablets and smartphones.

In this age of information, companies can achieve profitability faster than ever imagined. Technology provides the means to ensure productivity in all aspects of business from logistics to communications.

However, an overwhelming majority of businesses lack reliable data—data that is needed to utilize modern technologies, make informed decisions and deliver information.

This year, IMARK has partnered with a new member service provider to help IMARK members address this need. XOLogic, a software company based in Provo, Utah, helps businesses in the lighting, electrical and plumbing industries leverage streaming data and powerful online solutions.

“Managing the data for millions of products is a difficult task for any business,” said Mark Farr, XOLogic’s president/CEO. “With XOLogic, you have the ability to keep all of your systems connected with streaming data to your website, ERP and other sales channels, which is critical to compete in today’s world.”

XOLogic provides electrical, lighting and plumbing data in one seamless source. For example, the company’s Product Information Management (PIM) software normalizes and organizes information coming in and specializes and customizes data going out. “Having quality data including pricing, images, technical specs and install guides available 24 hours a day, seven days a week is seen by most in the industry as an absolute necessity,” Farr said.

Farr, who has a longstanding history of teambuilding, customer support, partnership development and business excellence, said he enjoys helping traditional industries use technology to grow their businesses.

"We are dedicated to the long-term success of our trusted partners and valued clients,” Farr said. “We pledge to deliver revolutionary products and services and provide the necessary tools to compete and succeed in the modern economy.”

Founded in 2009, XOLogic’s history began in 2004 in the lighting showroom industry. When Jason Petersen purchased a near-bankrupt lighting showroom, Hansen Lighting, he swiftly recognized the need for technology. His team identified flaws in the existing business and developed custom technical solutions. Hansen Lighting became profitable very quickly and the team realized that its software could liberate other businesses suffering from similar issues. Over time, XOLogic was born. Today, the company employs more than 30 talented professionals.

“I work with the most incredible group of individuals,” Farr said.

XOLogic is now a leading software provider for the lighting industry and its software is steadily growing in use in other industries. The company powers more than 400 businesses in the United States and Canada, delivering streaming data, content-rich webstores and enhanced sales tools. The omnichannel platform helps distributors deliver a seamless customer experience online, in the store and out in the field.

Gregory Smith, executive vice president of Granite City Electric Supply, a full-line distributor based in New England, has been using XOLogic’s XOLights products for retail lighting data for more than five years.

“XOLights was cleaning, scrubbing and attributing data long before it was in vogue,” Smith said. “They learned early on that quality content and how it was presented was instrumental when developing an effective, successful e-commerce platform.”

Smith added that the “talented, caring people” at XOLogic are always willing to go above and beyond to assist Granite City Electric Supply on its “e-commerce journey.” “XOLogic continues to be part of the Granite City Electric team as we develop the very best customer experience in online shopping for our customers,” Smith said.

Laurie Gross, president of Gross Electric, which is based in Toledo, Ohio, said, “We use XOLogic for our lighting showrooms. It has been invaluable in providing pictures and pricing for our outward-facing customers and our internal data needs.”

XOLogic’s secure software allows order data, customer data and inventory data to seamlessly flow, saving companies time and money by increasing productivity and profitability. The software communicates with employees and business contacts and easily integrates into the different digital interfaces used by businesses.

“With XOLogic’s Small Business Suite, IMARK members can have their product information flow directly into websites, online shopping carts, points-of-sale and ERP and CRM tools,” Farr said. “Having quality data available 24 hours a day is not only a requirement to compete in today’s world, it’s an opportunity to excel.”

The ability to have products on your website, allowing customers to make informed decisions, is so important today as online orders continue to increase year over year, according to Farr.

Online orders increased 9 percent between 2015 and 2016, according to the National Association of Electrical Distributor’s Technology Benchmarking Survey.

“XOLogic is proud to partner with IMARK and has offered substantial savings for its members and even deeper savings for the first month of the partnership,” Farr said. To learn more, visit www.xologic.com.
